Like I said in the blurb on the homepage, I'm a fledgling coder. I was taking a break from studying coding to focus on Japanese, since it requires a lot of effort, and without a domain my study of website building wasn't going much of anywhere. But then I found out about Neocities on Tumblr, so I decided to start working on a site here! Since then, I've been improving my coding skills.
At the moment, my skills lie mostly in HTML & CSS. However, I'm also learning Python, and much less successfully, Javascript.
I've also been studying languages on Duolingo. As I referenced above, I'm currently focusing on Japanese, but I also occasionally dip my toes back into learning a bit of Swedish, which was the first language I started learning. I really only started Japanese because I wanted to study a language as one of my high school electives and neither Swedish or French was available, but over time I've grown fond of it on its own merit. It's a cool language.
I've been a bit of an artist over the years, and while I'm nowhere near as practiced nowadays as I was in high school, I still consider myself an artist.
I tend to lean more to traditional art, but I do like doing digital art too, though it's a little harder. I also used to do a bit of photography. I still do, but it's not as good and taken mostly with my phone, because I've lost my camera's charger.
As of late, I've taken an interest in bush regeneration. For those not in the know, it's basically trying to restore the native plant and animal life in an area of wildlife. It involves a lot of weeding, a bit of trash collecting, & planting of new native plants.
I've gained a bit of a knack for pulling up wandering trad, officially called tradescantia fluminensis. It's fun! It's also a very hardy weed, so there's pretty much always more to uproot. I'll admit, I was impressed enough that I've dubbed it my favourite weed.
